BYOK does not by itself make the whole system sovereign. Hosting, logs, connected apps, backups and administrator access still need clear owners.
Before choosing, list who holds every other key: hosting, email, connected tools and backups. A BYOK model account next to a shared admin login elsewhere is still a shared system.
