Price the operating system, not only the subscription

The subscription is one cost. Add model usage, the box, connected tools, owner review time, maintenance and the cost of incorrect actions.

A useful comparison states who supplies each component and who acts when it fails. Low subscription cost can hide high operator time; a managed outcome costs more because responsibility changes hands.
